Stephanie Tromly's "Trouble Is a Friend of Mine" is an entertaining read with some quirky characters. I enjoyed the dynamics between Digby and Zoe "Princeton". The other characters, such as Henry and Sloane were also interesting but also a tad generic. I am hoping maybe some of the background characters get developed a bit more in the future sequels.
The story itself started well and kept my interest but did hit a little bit of a lull around the time of the dance. I think maybe there were just too many characters involved there. As a whole, I would rate the book a 4.4 (I was torn on that, because I kind of wanted to give it a five) but I do feel that there is some room for some minor improvements.
I definitely cannot wait for future installments (I believe one is coming out around September) as I am definitely hooked and I do thoroughly enjoy Ms. Tromly's writing style. I would not hesitate to read more of her works in the future.
